Job Summary
The Lean Operations Manager leads and coordinates the activities of the plant with overall responsibility for safety, scheduling, quality, and hourly labor relations with the facility to ensure that customer requirements are met.
Key
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain programs that ensure a safe working environment for all employees
Ensure that customer requirements (on time delivery-quality products,etc.) are met
Provide hands-on leadership for a three (3) shift operation, including the following areas: production:setup, forming, trimming, assembly, cleaning and packaging; production scheduling; raw material and component inventory
Responsible for training and development of shift and department supervisors
Document department processes and procedures and ensure appropriate individuals are trained
Review day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with procedures and identify potential areas for improvement
Optimize physical and human resource utilization
Create and follow a plan for regular communication and training sessions with employees
Plan and schedule maintenance of machines, facilities and equipment to minimize downtime
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
5
years of plan or operations management experience, ideally within a contract manufacturing environment
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Proven training, safety and leadership experience is a must
Experience maintaining an ISO compliant environment
Self-motivated and comfortable in a hands-on role; curious and open minded
Strong computer skills including experience with ERP system data management
Ability to use spreadsheet tools to analyze data to improve the production process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary commensurate with experience; benefits package including paid vacation and holidays, medical insurance, 401K plan with match. Opportunity to participate in annual incentive program.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
