is looking for an entry level sawmill worker and general laborer.
The position includes:
1:
Performs any combination of following duties in preparing logs for cutting into lumber and storing cut lumber in sawmill 2:
Rolls logs onto sawmill deck 3:
Operate a loader and/or forklift to lift and load logs, cants, and boards 4:
Operate sawmill to saw logs into rough sawn lumber and dimensional lumber 5:
Ensure quality assurance of lumber product output 6:
Sorts and guides planks emerging from saw onto deck 7:
Stack and palletize materials 8:
Grade lumber 9:
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations and utilizing safety equipment 10:
Troubleshoot equipment that is not functioning properly 11:
Clean and organize sawmill regularly 12:
Load and unload kiln 13:
Provide maintenance to sawmill You will be working with heavy machinery.
Must be 18 years old to operate the sawmill, forklift, bobcat, and other machinery.
Must be able to lift 50
pounds.
Must be punctual, have a valid license and reliable transportation, and must be able to use power tools when necessary.
Travel may be required at times.
