Through the implementation of the community school model, we have had the privilege of developing strong relationships within the North Chicago community and providing programs and support that complement classroom instruction, enhance student learning, strengthen school climate, actively engage parents and address the needs of the whole child.
We are looking for a Communications Associate to support our outreach and engagement team's efforts to curate and deliver professional, on-brand marketing and communications that engage external stakeholders, including volunteers, donors, corporate and community partners.
The responsibilities include:
Write professional multichannel copy for our annual report, newsletters, annual and special appeals, and stewardship and volunteer campaigns Use Canva templates to create on-brand graphic designs and layouts for multichannel print and digital materials Take, collect, and maintain a library of high-quality photos and videos of our programs, projects, and events for use in multichannel print and digital materials Help maintain our website and social media accounts Stay informed about best practices and trends in the communications industry and suggest strategies and opportunities for our communications to be best-in-class Attend on and off-site programs, projects, and events where external stakeholders are present to collect stories and photos to share in communications and stewardship Contribute to a positive and motivating work environment that encourages mutual respect, innovation and accountability at all levels Job Type:
